For the first time in India, Chennai based theatre enables movie shows for special needs audiences!

Keeping up with their works of constant innovations and up-gradations, Chennai based SPI cinemas a theatre group which runs screens throughout the South, has introduced SENS, a sensory friendly movie show designed for individuals with special needs. SENS is a first of its kind in our country and is designed as a special show which will be available on the first Sunday of every month in movie theaters owned by the SPI group.

These shows will have comparatively lesser volume, will have no restrictions on the audience moving around and talking and will have dimmer lightings instead of pitch black darkness - all in alignment with the environmental requirements of people with special needs. The concept will be initiated from August 5, 2018 and the first film to be screened will be the Jungle Book, tickets for which will be available at Sathyam Cinemas (Chennai) and The Cinema (Coimbatore).
