Breaking: Director Bala's next hero is Udhayanidhi Stalin!

 

Director Bala, who began the year with the G.V. Prakash - Jyothika starrer Naachiyaar, is currently busy director actor Vikram's son Dhruv in Varma, a Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. Now, sources close to the director inform MovieCrow that Bala will be directing a new film with an original script and that actor Udhayanidhi Stalin will be seen playing the main lead in it.
 
Though Udhayanidhi Stalin's choice of films have predominantly lean towards the commercial side, he has pushed his boundaries in films like Manithan (2016), Nimir (2018) and the yet to release Kanne Kalaimaanae; his film with Bala is only expected to be an add to his list of serious and semi-serious roles. Bala will be beginning this project post Varma, while an official announcement on the same is yet to be made by the people involved.
