Actor Vijay has paid a surprise visit to Thoothukudi and met the affected families of the victims and expressed his condolence to the family members.

Vijay has visited the families in the midnight without any media attention. The actor silently visited the place on a bike.  He had spent some time with them hearing out their problems. According to reports, he also handed over a sum of Rs 1 lakh to the affected families.
