Rajiv Menon's Sarvam Thaala Mayam to have an International version 'Madras Beats'

Rajiv Menon’s comeback directorial venture’s Sarvam Thaala Mayam starring GV Prakash in the lead role is one of the most awaited films this year. AR Rahman is scoring the music for this musical film. According to the latest reports, a French company Ghosts City is co-producing the movie with Rajiv Menon’s Mindscreen Cinemas. French editor Nadia Ben Rachid and sound mixer Thierry Delor, who both won Cesars for Timbuktu, have also boarded the project.

The film reportedly will have an International version too and has been titled Madras Beats (English version). GV Prakash plays the role of a Dalit boy who dreams of becoming a drummer in the South Indian ‘Carnatic’ classical music. “Madras Beats is a musical with a strong sense of realism and a story of hope where a young person from the outside overcomes odds to succeed in a rarefied world of classical Indian music,” said Rajiv Menon to a leading news portal.

The movie’s cast includes Nedumudi Venu, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth and Dhivyadarshini. It will be released in India in a 125-minute version and will have a 111-minute cut for the international market.
