Actor Simbu's speech on Cauvery Water leads to Unite For Humanity trend on social media!

Last weekend, actor Simbu had addressed the press regarding the Cauvery water management issue between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and had put forth the idea of creating a trend on social media called #UniteForHumanity. STR suggested that people of both states could upload a picture of themselves sharing water and if nothing, this could lead the Tamils into believing that it is not the people of Karnataka but the politicians in-between who are objecting to sharing earth's natural resource.

Given the tension being created in Tamil Nadu since the onset of this week, it is surprising to see the hashtag slowly gain momentum on Facebook and twitter. Though the legitimacy of these posts cannot be vouched for, it is indeed heartening to see non-negative trend take place at this time of conflict.
