Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's Velvet Nagaram is based on a true-incident!

One of actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's many upcoming projects is Velvet Nagaram with debut director Manojkumar Natarajan for which she began shooting from her birthday i.e. March 5, 2018. Now in an interview, the director has revealed that Velvet Nagaram is a female centric film and that it will be an action-based psychological thriller. He has also went on to say that Velvet Nagaram is based on a true incident that happened in Kodaikanal (Kodaikanal Mercury Poisioning?) and that Varalaxmi plays the role of a journalist named Usha.

The film also starrs Ramesh Tilak, Super Singer Malavika, Arjai among others and has Achu Rajamani for music. Produced by Makers Studio, the film is being shot in Chennai and will wrap shooting by early May.
