Thalapathy 63 : Who is Vijay teaming up with next?

Actor Vijay is currently shooting for his 62nd film with A.R. Murugadoss which is expected to release for Diwali this year. While Thalapathy 62 (tentative title) shapes up in Kolkatta (the place where their second schedule is being shot), internet keeps buzzing with the news of Vijay's next collaboration. So we decided to list out the possible names Vijay could be seen teaming up with for Thalapathy 63.


  • Atlee : This is one of the first names that comes to anyone's mind, as Atlee had hinted of Vijay being his next hero during Mersal's run at movie theatres. With Atlee's earlier two films with the star - Theri ( Tamil New Year - 2016) and Mersal (Diwali - 2017) releasing during significant holidays, the contention for Vijay's next holiday release (after Thalapathy 63) looks strong for Atlee. 

 

  • Sri Thenandal Films : Despite Thenandal being a reputed production house, to say that the popularity of Mersal revived their identity would not be a stretch. Naturally, the banner keeps dropping hints of a sequel (through their social media posts), thus leading to buzz of Vijay working with the banner again. The fact that they trademarked the Aalaporan Tamizhan phrase (similar to Aishwarya Dhanush trademarking Why this Kolaveri Di & Kolaveri Di after 3) has only added to the fuels of a sequel. 

 

  • Mohan Raja : In an interview post Velaikkaran, Mohan Raja had stated very clearly that one of Vijay's next 3 films would be directed by him. However, it is not known if it would be Thalapthy 63 or a future project post Mohan Raja's film with his brother Jayam Ravi.

 

  • Super Good Films : Actor Jiiva, son of RB Choudary who owns the production house had outed their plan of working with Vijay by stating,  “I think dad’s favorite Vijay will be acting in Super Good Films’ 100th film and I also wish to be a part of it.” Since the banner is inching close to their centenary landmark soon, a probability that it could be Vijay's 63rd film also looms.

 

  • H. Vinoth : Last but not the least on the list is director H. Vinoth who shot to fame with Sathuranga Vettai and retained it with Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru. It was MovieCrow who broke the news of the meeting between the director and Vijay and of a supposed script-hearing being arranged. Though follow-up media reports from "sources" suggested otherwise, the parties involved did not completely brush off the possibility. It is worth mentioning here that reports of H. Vinoth doing a film with Telugu star Ravi Teja has also been doing the rounds. 

 


Happening or not, all these prospects seem very interesting for the star actor and if materialised would be nothing short of fireworks for his 63rd film. Whom do you think would Vijay end up teaming with? Leave in your comments below.
