Zayn Malik confirms teaming up with A.R. Rahman!

 

Former One-Direction-er and International singing sensation Zayn Malik has confirmed in a recent interview that he has worked with A.R. Rahman for a song in one of his upcoming albums. Added to this, the pop star has even mentioned infusing traditional music in his album, where for the first time Zayn will be seen collaborating with the double Oscar winning musician. Speaking about the album, Zayn had said, “There’s definitely a lot of Urdu; some nice qawwali sounds. There might even be some bhangra vibes. I have worked with AR Rahman on one song,”

Given that Zayn has always expressed his familiarity with Bollywood it is no wonder that the Brit-Pakistani singer chose to work with the country's best musician. Nevertheless, the team up sure does have music fans excited all over. Though not much is known about the song, in an early interview about the album, Zayn's music producer Malay had said, “We’re talking about doing a song with him and AR Rahman together and I’m having Zayn in Urdu, it’s real similar to Hindi but it’s Pakistani language. It’s a modern-sounding song, but for him to sing in that language is kind of powerful.”
