As the online wrath continues to be directed towards the two female VJs of the show "Franka Sollata", who came under the scanner after making distasteful comments about Suriya's height on their show, actor Suriya has come out with an official statement on the incident. He has said,

We need not lower our standards by reacting to sub-standard comments. Spend your time and energy for useful actions. For the benefit of the society. #AnbaanaFans (Dear Fans)

His statement comes at a time when a few of his fans protested outside Sun TV's office, the channel that airs the program, demanding an apology for the incident. It also comes at a time when several media reports have expressed concern over the intensity of hate shown towards the VJs in question.
