One of Karthi's most iconic films of his career is undeniably Paiyya which was made by director Lingusamy. And like for any hit film, fans have time and again expressed their wish to see a sequel for this Karthi - Tamannah starrer. Now, it looks like the wish may indeed come true, as we have been informed that Lingusamy has finalized a script for Paiyya 2 and that he plans to rope in Karthi for the sequel as well. 

It is worth mentioning here that Lingusamy has Vishal's Sandakozhi 2 and a Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Allu Arjun in the pipeline. So Paiyya 2 may begin after this, while Karthi completes his film with director Pandiraj and his speculated projects with debutant Rajat and director Bakkiyaraj Kannan.
