Shankar's 2.0 release postponed again?

Shankar's 2.0 recently had its grand audio launch and international press meet in Dubai. The 2 songs that have been released have received rave reviews. One more song, BGM themes, and bit songs are also coming our way, from composer AR Rahman.

Meanwhile, there are rumors in the trade that the film won't be able to meet its Jan 25 release plan due to lot of pending VFX work. To add more credence to these rumors, Akshay Kumar's Padman has now announced a Jan26 release to capitalize on the Republic Day weekend.

If you remember, this rumor of 2.0's release date postponement first came in, few months back itself but the team was quick then to revert and state that their Jan25 release plans are still in place. But now it looks like a certain postponement and we hope the team will also make an official announcement in this regard.

Summer 2018 is the next ideal window for a huge film like 2.0. Will their pre-laid promotion plans also be relaxed? And, we can also expect a lot of shuffles in the release plans of other noteworthy South films.
