Actor Vijay's upcoming project Vijay 61 (tentative title) recently began shooting for its second schedule at Chennai. Lead actor Vijay and antagonist of the movie SJ Suryah are said to be shooting in this schedule. Added to this, it has also been revealed that the handle moustache Vijay is seen sporting these days is for the role he plays in the 80s portion of the film. Vijay plays a village chief who is said to be considered an messiah of good deeds to the people. This is one of the 3 different roles he plays in this film. 

Directed by Atlee, Vijay 61 is the 100th productuon venture of Sri Thenandal Films and has Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menon for the female leads. The movie's technical crew has A.R. Rahman for the music, G.K. Vishnu for cinematography and Antony L Reuben for the edits.
