Will the new Bond movie break BO records in Chennai Screens?
2012 has been a great year for Hollywood movies among Tamil audience. After Avengers, Spiderman and Dark Knight Rises, here comes SkyFall to close out the year for Hollywood biggies. Skyfall is already rated as one of the best James Bond movies among the 23 chapters released so far during the past 50 years. This is Daniel Craig's third outing as 007. All the critics have been unanimously praising the movie. Media was surprised to see the official Vatican newspaper had gone ahead and blessed the movie by calling it "less cliched, less attracted by the pleasures of life, much darker and more introspective, less invulnerable physically and psychologically, and therefore more human -- in a word, more real."
International release before domestic
Skyfall" has already made $96.6 million since its release last Friday in most European and Middle East countries. It has shattered BO records in the UK alrady. Skyfall will open today in India, China and a number of Asian countries. By the time it releases in the US, the movie is expected to cover the production cost. As a result of this release strategy, International viewers are getting to see the movie well before the US and Canada.

In Chennai multiplexes, Skyfall has already taken bumper advanced booking in record number of screens. The release time is perfect as next week will see a host of Diwali release movies all over India.
