Simran to play a cop in Aravind Swami - Ritika Singh movie
Actress Simran who was last seen on the silver screen as the headstrong Devasena (Ainthaam Padai) is making a come-back with a full-time role in Arvaind Swami's latest flick Vanangamudi. Titled after Sivaji Ganesan's 1957 venture, the film will see Simran donning the role of a serious cop with many shades to the charcaterization. Directed by Selva, the movie's female cast also includes Ritika Singh, Nandita Swetha (also essaying the role of a cop) and Chandini.
Vanangamudi is said to be on the lines of a biography of a straightforward cop who takes his duty seriously. The film will see Aravind Swami potraying five different characterizations for his role. With music by D. Imman, the film is being produced by Magicbox Films and has Gokul for cinematography and Anthony for the edits.
