Actor Ajith is gearing up for Valimai, his first film release in almost 3 years on February 24, 2022 and the movie will be facing tough box-office competition in Telugu from Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak. Albiet a dubbed release, Valimai stars Telugu actor Karthikeya Gummakonda in a pivotal villain role and he recently expressed disappointment over this upcoming clash. 

Talking to an online portal about Valimai and his bike-racer role in it, Karthikeya was quoted as saying,

"I was roped in Valimai because of my appearance and performance in RX 100.  I had done racing scenes in Gang Leader but..it was a challenge to do it with Ajith sir, who is super-fast. Whether playing a villain or a hero, the effort is the same. Bheemla Nayak coming out on Feb 25 is definitely a competition for Valimai.

 

I am a bit disappointed but..Valimai will have its audience. The kind of action scenes in Valimai haven't been seen in recent times. The cat-and-mouse chase, the mother-son sentiment - The Telugu audience will love these elements."
