The makers of Gatta Kusthi 2 have released the single Magaraasi, a tender father-daughter track that hints at the film's timeline jumping ahead of the 2022 original. The song suggests Veera (Vishnuu Vishal) and Keerthi's (Aishwarya Lekshmi) child, born at the end of the first film, is now a school-going kid in the sequel.

Magaraasi is composed and sung by Sean Roldan along with Vijay Narain, with lyrics by Muthamil. The film also stars Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Karunaas, Munishkanth and others, and is directed by Chella Ayyavu. Gatta Kusthi 2 releases in theatres on July 3.
