Late Wednesday evening, actor Dhanush took to his X page to reveal a new poster for his upcoming movie with director Mari Selvaraj. Now titled D 56 (tentative), this film was originally announced exactly 2 years ago in 2023. Back then D 56 was claimed to be Dhanush's 15th film as producer, that he would be backing alongside Zee Studios. 

Now, D56 has changed production banners and Ishari K Ganesh's Vels Film International is currently bankrolling the project. D56 comes with the tagline 'Roots Begin a Great War'. Mari Selvaraj also took to X to write about this new collaboration stating, 

"Overwhelmed to celebrate the 4th year of a journey forged by Karnan's Sword! Thanks to everyone who celebrated and supported Karnan throughout the years!! 🌸✨ Also, I am exhilarated to say that my next project is once again with my dearest @dhanushkraja sir! ❤️ This has been soaking in my mind for quite sometime now and I am very excited to be joining hands with him once again! This is my first with @ishariKganesh sir and I can't be any happier! This is going to be a thrilling experience indeed! 💐
