As 2023 comes to a close, Tamil cine industry is gearing up to open 2024 with a bang and atleast 5 different movies are currently in race to hit theater screens during Pongal i.e. early January. One of these films is the big budget, long-in-the-making sci-fi action comedy Ayalaan starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead. 

KJR Studios, the banner presenting Ayalaan in theaters has updated that the movie will see the widest release for a Sivakarthikeyan starrer yet. It was officially updated today that Hamsini Entertainment will be distributing Ayalaan overseas, with the highest number of screens, in highest number of countries (65+) for the lead actor so far. 

KJR Studios had also recently shut down rumours of the Ayalaan being stuck in release crisis once again, and confirmed that the movie will be a Pongal/Sankranthi release as announced. Ayalaan is a joint production venture of 24 AM Studios, Phantom FX Studios. The movie is written and directed by R. Ravikumar, with AR Rahman for music.

Rakul Preet Singh plays female lead in Ayalaan, and the movie also stars Hindi actor Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanu Priya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, Bala Saravanan among others. Ayalaan has Nirav Shah for cinematography, Ruben for edits and Color by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies. Sony Music holds the audio rights to Ayalaan.
