Thalapathy 68 (tentative title) is an upcoming Venkat Prabhu directorial starring actor Vijay in the lead, and the film produced by AGS Entertainment was officially announced as the banner's 25th film in May this year. Thalapathy 68 - A Venkat Prabhu Puzzle has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and over the weekend, the composer was seen revealing details about the film's first single while attending a college event.

Attending Panacea23 event at SRM College in Chennai, Yuvan confessed to the crowd gathered that the first song in Thalapathy 68, which marks his reunion with Vijay after 2 decades will be a 'Thara Kuthu Local Number'. Thalapathy 68 is currently gearing up to begin shooting from November, 2023 after Vijay's other film Leo's release on October 19, 2023. 

Thalapathy 68 is expected to feature Vijay in dual roles of father and son. An official announcement on the rest of the cast and crew currently awaits.
