[Updated: March 12, 2023] Dhanush starrer bilingual Vaathi [Tamil]/ SIR [Telugu] released in theaters on February 17, 2023 and completes a week of its run on the big screens today. The movie's digital rights are with the Netflix streaming platform for both languages, and it has not been officially announced that March 17, 2023 [Friday] is the OTT release date of Vaathi/SIR.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, Vaathi/SIR was Dhanush's first direct Telugu release. The movie also starring Samyuktha, P. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani among others, is a production venture of Sithara Enertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios. 

Vaathi/SIR has GV Prakash for music, J. Yuvaraj for cinematography and comes with a runtime of 2 hours and 19 minutes.
