Vetrimaaran directed Viduthalai: Part 1 is an upcoming movie starring actor Soori in the lead and the movie had its first single release titled Onnoda Nadantha today. The song unveiled as a lyric video is composed by Ilaiyaraaja and crooned by actor Dhanush and Ananya Bhat. Suka has penned lyrics for this number. After the track was unveiled on Sony Music South's YouTube channel, actor Soori took to twitter to thank Dhanush; the comedian wrote,

"No matter how many times I thank Dhanush sir for singing this wonderful song in a mesmerizing voice, it won't be enough. We are all proud of your contribution in this production."

Dhanush acknowledged these sweet words by tweeting,

A crime-drama adapted from B. Jeyamohan's 1993 short story Thunaivan that was released on Vikatan, Viduthalai - Part 1 also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Bhavani Sri, Chetan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Ilavarasu, Munnar Ramesh, Saravana Subbiah among others. The story follows the encounter attempt of a teacher (Vijay Sethupathi), and Soori plays constable Kumaresan, who is one of the police officers taking Vijay Sethupathi towards his end.

Viduthalai - Part 1, produced by Eldred Kumar's RS Infotainment, is expected to be ridden with communism, politics and other hard-hitting subjects. Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies is releasing this movie in Tamil Nadu.
