Actor Vijay's salary for his upcoming film Varisu has been the subject of headlines, ever since it was revealed that the Tamil star was taking home a whopping Rs. 100 Cr+ for the movie. Varisu is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and Vijay's Rs. 105 Cr. salary plus a GST of Rs. 19 Cr. is the highest ever amount paid by producer Dil Raju for any hero.

Varisu will wrap shooting today and Vijay is expected to begin his next movie Thalapathy 67 (tentative title) in a few days i.e. the first week of December, 2022. At this time, buzz has it that Vijay will be dabbing in revenue sharing model for the remuneration of his next film.

This means that for Thalapathy 67, Vijay will be taking a portion of his salary amount upfront and the remaining will be a percentage of the profit Thalapathy 67 makes. If true, this will be the first time Vijay will be taking salary on a revenue sharing basis.
