The Multiplex Association of India (MAI) has announced that 4000 screens throughout the country will be offering movie tickets at Rs. 75 on September 23, 2022 marking India's National Cinema Day. The move has been organized to encourage footfalls into theaters and is inspired by a similar day that was observed recently by American movie theaters. 

The MAI had previously organized National Cinema Day to be conducted on September 16, 2022 but the have postponed the date to not take away from the unprecedented Brahmastra-run [The movie opened to mixed reviews but is doing extremely well at the box-office].
