Karthick Naren directed Maaran starring Dhanush in the lead has been confirmed to be releasing on March 11, 2022 on Disney Plus Hotstar. Maaran is a direct OTT release and the trailer of the movie, unveiled today reveals Dhanush in a battle against the system with only his honest and shrewd journalistic skills to back.

Malavika Mohanan, Samuthirakani, Smruthi Venkat, Ramki among others play supporting roles in Maaran, which has GV Prakash for music. The movie produced by Sathya Jyothi Films will be streaming in four languages - Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
