As reported before, it has now been officially announced that actor Silambarasan TR will be hosting the OTT version of Bigg Boss Tamil i.e. Bigg Boss Ultimate. Simbu is replacing former host Kamal Haasan, who recently quit due to scheduling conflicts with his upcoming movie Vikram [Kamal Haasan has said that he will be returning for Season 6 of the original format].

Along with STR - the host, another new entry is also anticipated in Bigg Boss Ultimate. TV comedian Sathish of Vijay TV's Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru fame is said to be the next wild card entry into the show. Both Silambarasan and Sathish are making their entry in week 4 of this reality series.

Bigg Boss Ultimate streams on Disney Plus Hotstar and is a deferred 24/7 version of the house contestants' content. Currently, there are nine contestants in the house namely Abhirami, Anitha Sampath, Balaji Murugadoss, (Dhadi) Balajee, Julie, Niroop Nandakumar, Snehan, Suruthi Periyasamy and Thamaraiselvi.

Abhinay, Shariq, Suja Varunee and Suresh Chakravathi are the four contestants who were previously evicted while Vanitha Vijayakumar opted to walk out of the house post Kamal Haasan's exit.
