Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan is a sequel to Vijay Antony's 2014 hit film Salim and is being directed by Vijay Milton. Latest we hear, actor Vijayakanth will soon be joining the film, marking his acting comeback after several years. Vijayakanth last directed and acted in the 2010 movie Virudhagiri and made a cameo appearance in 2015 release Sagaptham. 

Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan will chronicle ten chapters in the protagonist’s life and will take off from where Salim ended. The movie also stars Megha Akash, Sarathkumar, Kannada actor Dhananjaya, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Thalaivaasal Vijay and director Ramana among others.

Its technical crew includes Vijay Antony for music, Achu Rajamani for background score, Vijay Milton for cinematography and Leo John Paul for the edits.
