Actor Silambarasan TR has updated that he has resumed shooting for Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (VTK), his upcoming movie with director Gautham Menon. Previously it was said that this will be the movie's last schedule and the team plans on wrapping it by this month end. A set replicating Mumbai was also said to be set up at a private film city in Chennai for this schedule.

VTK has music by A.R. Rahman and Think Music India has announced that they have bagged the audio rights to the movie.

Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is a step away from usual Gautham Menon/ Silambarasan TR films and has Kayadu Lohar playing female lead. The movie is is produced by Ishari K Ganesh of Vels Film International.
