Big Loss to Cinema: Kamal Haasan on K.V. Anand's demise!

Kumar Venkatesan Anand, known as K.V. Anand was an acclaimed photojournalist, National award winning cinematographer and director of some mega-hit films in Tamil. Before his full-time debut into the Tamil film industry, K.V. Anand worked as an assistant to another acclaimed cinematographer P.C. Sreeram and through this he got to work on Kamal Haasan's 1992 classic Thevar Magan

 

As Tamil film fraternity and fans woke up to the rude shock of K.V. Anand's unfortunate passing today, a still from the sets of Thevar Magan was found being shared in remembrance of Kamal Haasan and K.V. Anand working together.

 

 

Now, Kamal Haasan himself has shared his condolence message via Twitter and the actor-politician wrote, "KV Anand, who started his career as a photographer in magazines, has established himself as an outstanding cinematographer and director due to his unwavering dedication. His demise is a big loss for cinema. Tribute."
