Actor Madhavan who was last seen in Vikram Vedha (2017) in Tamil and in a supporting role in the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Zero (2018) is gearing up for the multilingual movie Nishabdham's release, come October 2, 2020. As movie theaters remain closed due to the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic Nishabdham is premiering directly on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.

In a recent interview with News Today, Madhavan was questioned about how OTT platforms have eclipsed the theater business in the last 6 months and what that actor thinks about this OTT Vs Theaters debate and this is what he had to say,

"Things changed after Corona..It (OTT) has given opportunities for talented scriptwriters. Imagine the likes of Mani Ratnam are working for OTT..OTT takes you over 200 countries and it can be watched repeatedly..Wait and watch, there will be a platform where filmmakers can put their content and monetize it in near future.."

 

Madhavan also maintained that while the 'charm' of watching a movie in theaters is 'different', OTT has its own charms like the ones stated above.
