COVID-19 India: S.S. Rajamouli intends to donate plasma post recovery!

Last night Baahubali director S.S. Rajamouli took to twitter to announce that he and his family members were tested positive for mild COVID-19 and currently they are under home quarantine as instructed to them. The director also revealed his intentions of donating plasma -  one of therapies India has employed as a response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The said therapy induces convalescent plasma recovered Covid-19 patients into affected patients and Doctors prescribe it to serious patients and moderate patients who don't show improvement with other treatments. India has set up several plasma banks and anyone between the ages of 18 and 60, and weighing not less than 50 kg are eligible to donate plasma 2-3 weeks after they have recovered from COVID-19.

Ennamsetty, a Covid-19 survivor, was the first person in Telengana to donate plasma. Recently Telengana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan was seen appreciating the effort of app developer Masetty Saiveda Prakash for his efforts in successfully developing the Aarogya Veda-Plasma/Blood donation app.
