While speaking at a recent award function, director Vetrimaaran had confirmed that his upcoming movie with Suriya has been titled as "Vaadivaasal". 

It is said that the director had already acquired the rights of "Vaadivasal", a novel based on Tamil Nadu's traditional sport "Jallikattu", written by veteran journalist and writer C.S.Chellappa. 

Vaadivasal will have music director GV Prakash Kumar scoring the music and the film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under his banner V Creations.
