In 2018, when director P.S. Mithran was fresh off his success from Irumbu Thirai, we had reported that he will be joining hands with actor Karthi for a film. In the meantime, the director teamed up with Sivakarthikeyan for the recently released Hero and now it is being widely reported that the Karthi film will begin in the early 2020.

It is also being said that Karthi, who is currently shooting in Thaliland for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan will be essaying dual roles under P.S. Mithran's directorial. Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja who handled the music for Mithran's first two films is expected to take care of music in this new project as well.

An official confirmation on this Karthi, P.S. Mithran, Yuvan team-up is however awaited.
