Kadaisi Vivasayi is directed by Manikandan of Kakka muttai fame. The trailer of the film has been unveiled by Vijay Sethupathi on his social media page. The film is a realistic portrayal of the life of a farmer.  An eighty-five-year-old farmer named Nallandi plays the lead role. Sethupathi who has never shied away from experimenting new roles has made an extended cameo appearance in the film. Yogi Babu plays a pivotal role as a mahout. 

The film talks about how an entire village forgot the old practice of worshipping ‘Kuladevata’ and farming. Manikandan has written, directed, produced and cranked the camera as well. Isaignani Ilayaraja has scored the music.
