Nayanthara, RJ Balaji starrer Mookuthi Amman began filming with an official pooja ceremony today and though Nayanthara was not present at the event, she was spotted in one of the name-boards in the background.

The filming for the movie which is jointly directed by NJ Saravanan and RJ Balaji began at Bagavathi Amman Temple, Kanyakumari. Mookuthi Amman is produced by Ishari Ganesh of Vels Film International and is expected to release in 2020.
