Speaking on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government, AIADMK leader Kadambur Raju said on Tuesday that the permissions for conducting special shows such as early morning shows (Regulations here) have not been granted for two of the major festival releases - Petta starring Rajinikanth and Viswasam starring Ajith.

His announcement comes at a time, when paper ads and media have already been seen carrying promises of a 4 AM show and even more 6 shows for these films in one day.

He also reiterated the Madras High court's order that allows movie theaters to be fined between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh and be deprived of their theater license, in the event of them overcharging for ticket prices.
