Actress Bhavana who is not a big fan of starring in remake films seems to have broken that norm, for she has confirmed being signed for the Kannada remake of the Tamil super-hit film 96. Bhavana would be reprising the role of Trisha's character from 96, Jaanu and the Kannada remake has been titled 99.
Kannada director Preetham Gubbi will be seen directing 99 while Sandalwood actor Ganesh will be taking up the role of Vijay Sethupathi from the original.
96 was one of the most talked about films of 2018, for it struck an instant chord through its relatability; it also had its fair share of controversies and the status of the plagiarism charge thrown at the director remains unknown to the public, as of today.
