Kerala Floods 2018: Tamil Nadu rises up to the occasion!

 

As a mark of generosity and reciprocating the help received during the 2016 Chennai floods, some prominent personalities from Tamil Nadu have extended donations to the Kerala Flood relief. As reported by us earlier borthers Suriya and Karthi donated Rs. 25 lakh while Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, who has always held high regard for the neighbouring state too donated the same amount.
 
The South Indian Artistes' Association (Nadigar Sangam) has donated Rs. 5 lakh towards the relief while political party DMK have announced that Rs. 1 crore will be donated from their end. CM of Tamil Nadu, Edappaddi K. Palaniswami announced a donation of Rs. 5 crore earlier while Star Vijay, a Tamil channel belonging to the Star network extended a help of Rs. 25 lakh.
 
Apart from this, relief work in the name of their favourite stars have been carried out by the fan-base and some of them have been listed below:

Over the last 5 days, floods and rains hit Kerala so bad that 39 people are dead and over 60,000 stranded as of today.  According to Kerala CM's office, the preliminary estimates alone show proprietorial losses upto Rs. 8,316 crore and the state government has asked the centre to classify this calamity as 'rare severity'.
