Amidst Kollywood strike, Theatre in Chennai offers Free Tickets

The Tamil film industry has not seen a movie release in about 3 weeks now and the dry spell has been further extended by an industry-wide indefinite strike and theatre shutdowns in Tamil Nadu except Chennai. At this time, a theatre in the state's capital is offering free tickets to the audience between March 16, 2018 and March 18, 2018. The theatre in question is the recently opened SIVASAKTHI CINEMAS which holds a capacity of 2 Screens.

The theatre which is located at Padi, Chennai is currently screening Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, Spider Man: Homecoming, Baahubali: The Beginning, Dangal & The Jungle Book and is charging only for the 3D equipment one required for watching the movie. Seems like a win-win for both the movie enthusiasts who are tired of waiting for the strike to end and the theatre owners who recently re-opened their screens after 10 years.
