FEFSI stikes called off, shakes hands with TNPC
The Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and the Tamil Nadu Producers’ Council (TNPC) have reached a mutual agreement post a never-ending tussle between the two. Some of the pointers the parties have come to an agreement on are :
* Effective, Spetember 12, 2017, the FEFSI members have withdrawn their strike due to which production and shooting of many films were stalled.
* Both parties have agreed on one day call sheet for 24 hours. Earlier, two batas were received by lightmen and technicians for to and fro while travelling.
* The Technician Union has been isolated from FEFSI's 22 other bodies. They have been permanently removed due to failure over controlling its members and making inappropriate remarks.
* Both parties have finalised on a one-on-one agreement, which means TFPC will work with only FEFSI members and FEFSI will work with only Tamil Nadu Producers Council and not with Guild or Chamber.
Post the strike call-off and agreement, around 11 films have commenced shooting since Wednesday, with around 16 film crews heading out of the city for filming.
