Breaking: Mersal becomes the first Tamil film to get a Twitter emoji

Vijay's Mersal has been making waves on social media ever since the launch of its singles. The latest buzz is that the makers of the movie have pushed the promotions bar a notch higher by partnering with Twitter to introduce a Mersal Twitter emoji.

Although Twitter emojis are quite commonly used by Hollywood biggies as a marketing strategy, it's the first time for a Tamil film to do it. Meanwhile, the grand audio launch of the movie is slated to happen on August 20 at Nehru stadium.
