Actor Vijay's birthday is huge this year and here's why

Actor Vijay's huge fan following is a undisputable fact and they have something big to look forward to this year on the star's birthday (June 22, 2017) is what has grabbed our attention. While radio stations like 92.7 Big FM began the celebration by dedicating an entire month (birthday month) in honour of the Thuppaki star, fans on Facebook created history by creating the first ever picture frame depicting the actor's special day. But what proved to be the cause of major celebration for his fans; apart from his birthday that is, is the fact that the first look of Vijay's 61st film will be released on that day.

Added to this, audio label giant Think Music India has announced that the Original Soundtrack (OST) for Vijay’s Theri will be released before the actor’s birthday. Also some of Vijay's yesteryear blockbusters like Pokkiri, Kaththi, Thuppaki and Thalaiva will be released in selected screens across Tamil Nadu, Telengana, Karnataka and Kerala. While this ritual may seem simple for any star of Vijay's status, what's making it bigger is the special screening of Thuppaki in Australia. In a first, a Tamil actor's birthday is being celebrated on such a large scale and if reports are anything to go by, then the online booking for the Australia screening have already sold out. Fan groups have also organised blood-donation camps and many other good-will activities to be carried out on their favourite actor's day.
