Keerthy Suresh to play Savitri in her next film

While actress Keerthy Suresh and her fans await the release of the highly-hyped Bairavaa for Pongal this year, latest update on the beautiful actress is that she has given her nod to play the titular role in the biopic of yesteryear actress Savitri. Titled Mahanati, the movie is a Tamil-Telugu bilungual and will be directed by Tollywood director Ahswin Nag. Interestingly back in 1950, Savitri on whom the film is being made, too made her entry into the silver-screen with a Tamil-Telugu bilingual named Samsaram. Though Keerthy is yet to sign the dotted lines, the actress is expected to do so on her return to the country on January 9, 2017 (she is currently in London). 

The movie also has actress Samantha playing a key role, with the narrative being shown from the view-point of Samantha's character in the film. Mahanati will also showcase the post-stardom life of actress Savitri who was once a reigning name in both the Tamil and Telugu film industry.
