It is widely known that actor Suriya plays a cameo in Kamal Haasan's upcoming movie Vikram which hits theater screens on June 3, 2022. Makers of the movie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, recently unveiled an official poster starring Suriya, sending the star fandom into a frenzy. However the makers neither unveiled his character's name nor the nature of his role in the film. 

During a TV appearance, while talking about how the Suriya cameo came about, Kamal Haasan revealed that his production company Raaj Kamal Films International was due for a collaboration with the actor for quite sometime now. He also said that Suriya's apperarance in Vikram is a starting point for a future team-up with the star. 

“We had been talking about making a film with Suriya at Raaj Kamal for a long time. It kept getting delayed as the right subject was not clicking. So to begin (a collaboration), I asked him (for Vikram) over the phone and he immediately agreed to it..We will continue (the collaboration) in future too. It will be happy for both him and us.”
