Vivegam Review - Rage Unleashed On Your Senses

If you are an action buff or an Ajith fan, Vivegam will be watchable. If you are neither one of them, you may wonder if the director is unleashing his rage against your senses. You have earned the badge to claim yourself to be a "Surviva".(more)

Vivegam Movie Review

The film really takes off in the second half, by when we have gotten used to its loudness. And Anirudh's electric (and again, loud) score lends punch to the proceedings. We also get a formidable antagonist, a friend-turned-foe, whom AK has to take down and stop mass destruction. The battle between them is largely one of wits and it is these moves and counter-moves that give the film its rush.(more)

High on production value and action. Heavily dependent on Ajith's persona, engagement factor takes a beating.

Vivegam keeps you in a state of nervous excitation from the start of the second half till the pre-climax but the first half is not very effective and has lots of pace and logical issue. The logic part is a concern in both the halves. Vivegam is a conventional spy thriller with routine escapes and clashes and hide-and-seek gambits, yet the way the film has been made, nothing that happens seems inevitable which makes the whole movie less natural and could connect with a section of the audience.(more)

Thala Ajith's show all the way

Vivegam is a treat to Thala fans but for general audiences, it ends up as a watchable action thriller for the strenuous effort the team had made in making it look stylish.(more)

Ajith's film is ambitious yet underwhelming

Its Ajith's show all the way and he packs a solid punch. Going by the visuals, the effort he has put in to play the part is quite evident. There couldn't have been a better star to play his character and he is a treat to watch. It's sad that all that hard work gets lost in a film that needed better writing.(more)

Ajith plays a one-man demolition squad in this stylishly visual spy thriller

Vivegam is largely targeted at Ajith fans, and lacks logic. The film should have been better written and the climax is hurried. If you are looking for an action entertain with youe favourite star, it is worth a look.(more)
