Vishnuvardhan decides on the script for Ajith

After discussing 4 scripts with writer duos Suba, Vishnuvardhan has finally picked the one that will portray Ajith as a common man (with no blazers, no coolers, etc.). Vishnu is expected to give Ajith a diametrically opposite look and style in this movie. After Kajal expressed her inability to act, heroine selection has now narrowed down to either Anushka or Amala Paul being the top contenders.

There is another rumor that has been going around whether this movie will be a "Race" remake from Hindi. This is not expected to be the case since AM Rathnam is producing this movie and the "Race" script rights are with UTV. The sources believe that the team has come up with a fresh script taking Ajith's image into consideration.
