MovieCrow Box Office Report - February 27 to March 1

Durai Senthil Kumar's Kaaki Sattai took a huge opening, which has reiterated that Siva has become one of the most sought-after heroes in the current generation. Couple of lesser known films also released last weekend, but they sank without a trace. Check out the box office ranking of Tamil movies in Chennai last weekend.

1. Kaaki Sattai

In spite of mixed reviews, Kaaki Sattai was the unanimous choice of the family audience last weekend. Although the screenplay isn't as exciting as one would have expected it to be, Sivakarthikeyan's lively performance has been getting good appreciation.

2. Anegan

Having become a 'Super Hit' already, Dhaunush's Anegan continued to attract the audience in large numbers. The expectations have already started to set in for KV Anand's next film.

3. Tamiluku En Ondrai Aluthavum

TEOA couldn't sustain at the box office amidst biggies. Sometimes, release date is pretty vital for small/medium budget films to turn out to be a hit.

Other Movies

Yennai Arindhaal was replaced across majority of screens by Kaaki Sattai, while Sandamarutham almost vanished from all screens.

Upcoming week's releases

Siddharth's Enakkul Oruvan, remake of Kannada super hit film Lucia, will be hitting the screens on March 6.
