Vijay Sethupathi is reuniting with director Balaji Tharaneetharan of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame for their third film together. The duo had earlier collaborated on Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakathi, both of which received critical acclaim. Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom also turned out to be a commercial success, with its comedy and dark humour still widely referenced.

The upcoming film’s shoot is currently underway and is said to be nearing its final stages. The team is considering Baktha as one of the title options for the project, though the official title is yet to be finalised.
