Ajith's Padma Bhushan is the first for a living Tamil actor in the last 11 years. Prior to this Kollywood male stars who were conferred with the Padma Bhushan were Vijayakanth (Posthumous - 2024), Kamal Haasan (2014), Rajinikanth (2000), and the now late Sivaji Ganesan (1984).
In 2025, Ajith Kumar's racing team secured podium finishes in international championships, and actor Ajith's Tamil film Good Bad Ugly saw good box-office collections. With the title 'Padma Bhushan Ajith Kumar ', the actor has seen a fantastic year so far.
