Actor K. Manikandan who made his solo lead debut with Good Night (2023) last year will next be seen in a relationship drama titled Lover. Written and directed by feature film debutant Prabhuram Vyas, Lover also stars Sri Gouri Priya in the lead, and has Sean Roldan for music. 

A production venture of Million Dollar Studios, MRP Entertainment who also produced Good Night, Lover is being released by Sakthi Film Factory, that also distributed Good Night. A Lover preview show for screened for distributors of the movie this week, and some of the early Lover reviews as seen on the X platform:

Also starring Kanna Ravi, Saravanan, Geetha Kailasam, Harish Kumar, Nikhila Shankar, Rini, Pintu Pandu, Arunachaleshwaran among others, Lover Tamil movie revolves around  Arun (Mandikandan) and Divya (Sri Gouri Priya) whose 6 year relationship is staring to fall apart. Will their love endure their differences, or does love need to endure so much is what forms the rest of the story.

Lover will also release in Telugu as True Lover on February 9, 2023. The technical crew of Lover Tamil includes Sean Roldan for music,  Shreyaas Krishna for cinematography, Barath Vikraman for edit,  Raj Kamal for art, Mohan Rajan for lyrics, Navaa Rajkumar for costume design, and Sarath J Samuel for publicity design. Think Music holds the audio rights, and Lover is gearing up for an audio launch and trailer release on February 2, 2024.
