Popular Tamil production banner Super Good Films had announced earlier this month that their 98th production, is a movie with actors Vadivelu and Fahadh Faasil - a duo that had famously teamed up in the gritty political drama Maamannan (2023). The title of 'Super Good Films 98' has now been revealed as Maareesan, and it is touted to be a road comedy drama. 

As reported earlier, Maareesan is written and directed by Sudeesh Sankar who has previously made an action drama titled Aarumanamae (2009) in Tamil. Maareesan has Yuvan Shankar Raja for music, Madan Karky for lyrics, Kalaiselvan Sivaji for cinematography, and Sreejith Sarang for edits
